International Conference ‘Good governance in developing countries’ is organized by the Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana and the Faculty of Economy and Agro-business, Agricultural University of Tirana, in cooperation with the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), European University of Tirana, Southeast European Centre for Economic Development, Development Solutions Associates and Institute of Economic Studies and Knowledge Transfer, with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Regional Research Promotion Programme based in Switzerland. The conference seeks to bring together social science researchers, scholars and policy-makers from the Western Balkans and international research institutions to present and discuss recent research findings related to good governance in transition and developing countries. Particular emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary and applied research results aiming at in-depth discussions about the challenges faced and solutions adopted regarding all aspects of good governance in developing countries. Submissions were peer-reviewed by the Board of Scientific Advisors, comprised of leading scholars from well-established research institutions – accepted papers for presentation will be published in the proceedings after the conference.
